The key task of modern pipeline transport of liquid hydrocarbons is to increase the capacity of existing pipeline systems. The use of special reagents, that are DRA, allows to solve this problem successfully.

The use allows:

  • to increase pipeline capacity / reduce pipeline pressure;
  • to reduce energy costs in case of pumping;
  • to reduce capital investment in construction of looping and additional pumping stations significantly;
  • to reduce accident risks.

Additional possibilities and effects

  • enhancement of raw materials management;
  • a possibility of deactivation of intermediate pumping stations.

Uniqueness and non-alternative DRA – A possibility to increase a throughput volume in a short time and without capital investments.

DRA are applied at

  • Inter-field and main oil pipelines;
  • Main oil product pipelines;
  • Main condensate pipelines.

For pumping of:

  • Commercial oil;
  • Diesel fuel;
  • Gas condensate;
  • Water-oil emulsion, gasoline, gas liquids.

Peculiarities of application of DRA

  • Effectiveness of DRA is often lost along the length of the pipeline, this is due to destruction of molecules of DRA;
  • Effectiveness of DRA can vary subject to the pipeline, nature of raw materials and pumping conditions;
  • Molecules of DRA are destroyed in case of mechanical effect: for example, in case of passing through centrifugal pumps, the effectiveness is lost;
  • There is no aftereffect: after stopping to inject DRA, their effect is lost;
  • DRA do not change physical and chemical properties of oil and oil products.
  • DRA are not adsorbed on the surface of pipelines and other equipment.
  • DRA do not have an adverse effect on operation of oil preheaters and on preparation of oil emulsions.

DRA can be used together with corrosion and paraffin inhibitors, antistatic, depressant and other additives.

The standard range of dosage of DRA is from 5 to 50 g/t.
