Water-repellent liquid BASIC-GS ™ is a clay inhibitor based on organosilicon compounds.
Application
As a hydrophobizing agent, stabilizer of clay solutions. A hydrophobic silicone fluid is added to the drilling fluid directly during preparation to stabilize parameters and impart inhibiting properties, or during drilling during circulation to combat complications. The recommended concentration of the chemical product ranges from 0.1-3 kg / m³ depending on the type of mud and drilling conditions.
Features
- Hydrophobizing the surface of the drilling cuttings' clay and borehole walls. Prevents dispersion of sludge, stabilizes unstable rocks prone to talus and collapse;
- Stabilizes the rheological and filtration parameters of the drilling fluid, including in conditions of salt aggression;
- Helps to restore the parameters of the drilling fluid after salinization or as a result of drilling out active viscoplastic clays;
- Due to the hydrophobic effect on shale and drilled cuttings, it has a positive effect on the parameters of the drilling fluid: it inhibits the growth of the viscosity and density of the solution when drilling out clay deposits; prevents balling on the instrument, complications while pulling and running operations; stabilizes the borehole walls.
