DESCRIPTION OF THE TECHNOLOGY
Hydraulic fracturing (fracking) is one of the most efficient methods of increasing production of oil. We offer our proprietary efficient products for creation of fracking fluids.
WORK STAGES
- Collection of information. Collection and analysis of information on required parameters of fracking fluids. Preparation of technical and commercial offer;
- Sampling. Compilation of technical scope of work for conducting lab tests, requesting formation water samples and oil samples. Performing lab tests in Science and Research Laboratory of the Mirrico Group;
- Testing. Planning the pilot test together with the Customer, sending a process engineer to the well site; performing pilot tests, analysis of the obtained results, introducing adjustments to the technology;
- Delivery of chemicals. Signing a contract, manufacturing, and delivery of chemicals.

- Description
Problem:
- Failure of downhole pumping equipment due to the formation of insoluble barium sulfate scale after a hydraulic fracking job;
Solution:
- Presence of barium sulfate scale was detected based on analysis of the oilfield material.
- Lab tests with application of scale inhibitors of Descum series were performed.
- A compound that showed the highest efficiency was selected.
- Descum scale inhibitor was recommended for industrial use.
Results
Using Descum scale inhibitor in the composition of fracking fluid resulted in a threefold reduction of downhole pumping equipment failures caused by formation of insoluble barium sulfate scale.
