Conformance control is one of the methods for increasing the reservoir recovery rate.
The conformance control consists of injecting of slowly cross-linking compounds (cross-linked polymeric and/or thermotropic gelling systems) into the bottom hole formation zone of the injection wells. These compounds penetrate deep into the formation over significant distances and redistribute the filtration flows in the formation.
The use of technologies is possible, including in the presence of a hydrodynamic connection between the interlayers. Solutions fill the interlayers and thereby create dewatering in the formation, that helps to direct water flows to the producing well and thereby increase the additional inflow of oil.
The volume of injected liquid is determined by the structure and feature of the rocks and ranges from 200 to 5000 m³.
