APPLICATION:
Used in technologies of matrix acidizing performed to stimulate oil recovery. Corrosion on the tubing walls, fire scale, and iron contained in formation rocks can be the source of iron. The chemical prevents the formation of viscous emulsions in the presence of trivalent iron when the acid reacts with the rock.
